    Winter

For passenger cars and minivans, the new MICHELIN® X-Ice® Xi2TM tire is the best overall winter performing tire*, engineered to tackle most extreme cold weather driving conditions.

    Features:

    • Michelin's advanced tread block technology is a combination of multiple sipes and micro-pumps with a state-of-the-art rubber silica-based compound called FleX-Ice™ technology. This progressive, engineered combination helps deliver optimized tractive grip and exceptional braking on ice.
    • The MICHELIN® X-Ice® Xi2™ tire lasts 75% longer than the leading competitor without affecting other performances†. The depth of the Cross Z Sipes II and the Step Groove design help provide enhanced mobility, particularly in deep snow, winter after winter.
    • A wide tread contact patch generates acceleration and braking power, as well as cornering traction, for outstanding winter manoeuvering. Supporting knobs help provide stability on wet and dry roads in the winter, helping the MICHELIN® X-Ice® Xi2™ tire deliver the best overall winter traction, along with superior ice performance

Great Tire! Had slightly better traction with my blizzaks but they wore out too fast. Have great treadwear for a winter tire, on their 4th season. Grips on ice and snow as good as you could expect from a studless. Dont know how so many people are hating on this tire its the best studless winter tire ive used. Gonna get another set after this season.

I HAVE DRIVEN A LONG HAUL TRANSPORT FOR OVER 41 YRS . FORM SAINT JOHN NEW BRUNSWICK , CANADA . TO MONTREAL QUEBEC CANADA . SOMETIMES TWICE -3 TIMES PER WEEK 610 MILES EACH WAY . SO I,D SAY WHEN I GET INTO MY SUV. I KNOW HOW TO DRIVE IT IN ALL ROAD CONDITIONS . AND AFTER PUTTING THE ( MICHLIN ICE & SNOW TIRES ON MY 2012 ESCAPE . IF I CAN,T GET THROUGH , NOT TO MANY OTHERS WILL . UNLESS THE ROAD IS TOTALLY BLOCKED . THEN WE,RE ALL STOPPED . BUT DON,T EXPECT TO PUT ANY TIRES ON , AND EXPECT YOU ARE IN A RACE CAR . AS WHEN YOU HIT ICE AND START TO SLIDE , YOUR GOING FOR A RIDE. YOU DON,T WANT. AS I HAVE SEEN , MOST PEOPLE WITH SUVs.THINK THEY ARE INVISABLE . WELL DON,T COUNT ON HAVING A SUV. YOU CAN BE A RACE DRIVER. YOU,LL LOSE AND I MAY SEE YOU ON YOUR ROOF DOWN THE ROAD. IF THE REST OF THE TRAFFIC IS TRAVELLING AT A SET SPEED , STAY WITH THIS SPEED . AND YOU WILL BE SAFE . BUT IF YOU WANT TO PASS EVERY-ONE . YOU ARE PUTTING EVERYONE IN DANGER OF DEATH AND THAT INCLUDES YOU. (JUST DRIVE SAFE AND ARRIVE SAFELY. SINCERELY , RALPH SMITH MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO, CANADA ( THE COLD COUNTRY )

Excellent winter tires. I have a 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 GT, and these tires do an excellent job of keeping my rear wheel drive sports car safe on the road. These tires need time to be broken in to get the full traction they provide. When I first got these snow tires 2 years ago, I didn't think they were up to the task of driving in snow. But as the tires have been broken in, the lubrication that's on the tire from the factory has come off, these tires are really working well now. Break in is the most important thing for these tires to show their true performance. Once broken in, they are fantastic in every winter situation.

These tires are excellent for our Saskatchewan winter. I just put these on this October and we have had freezing rain, heavy snowfall and slush, then rain, freezing again. I couldn't be happier with my choice. There is road noise when on dry road. I find my vehicle loud with my other set of tires though. I can't really comment on treadwear but plan on switching to my other tires in spring as I would not want to use these in summer months anyway.

They're the best tires I've ever had. I used to drive on dry road on highway so I did'nt like noisy cheap snow tires. They are not the best on snow but overal, they are the best for day to day driving in winter.
