How do I find out the cost of Shipping?

Shipping, for the most part, depends on the actual weight of the order. To get an accurate shipping quote, place the item(s) into the shopping cart by clicking button. This will take you to the shopping cart area where you will find one of the option buttons. Just enter your postal code or zip code and click this button. The result will show you accurate shipping cost. Keep in mind this system does not work for orders outside of North America. International orders must E-mail our International Sales Desk to get an accurate shipping quote.

Are your posted prices in Canadian or U.S. Dollars?

The price displayed is based on your IP address. If you have a Canadian internet provider, the prices will be displayed in Canadian currency. Conversely, if you have a U.S. internet provider, prices will be displayed in U.S. currency. You can verify the displayed currency by checking the small flag that is displayed near the top right hand corner of the page you are viewing.

Why is there such a large difference between the U.S. and Canadian price on the same item?

This is not a simple matter of currency exchange. All Canadian destined orders are shipped from our Vancouver based warehouse and sourced out, in most part, from Canadian distributors. Some items we sell in the U.S. are sourced out from our U.S. affiliates who ship them directly to our US customers. There is a difference, and quite often, very significant, between the dealer cost prices in US and Canada. Let us assure you that we work very hard to bring you the best prices possible, always.

Why do U.S. dollar prices vary sometimes?

We are a Canadian company, and set our prices in Canadian dollars. The web site automatically converts them to U.S. currency using the current exchange rate. As the exchange rate varies, so do the U.S. Prices. When you place an order, the price you ordered at is recorded in our system and protected from daily fluctuations.

Why don’t you have my vehicle listed in your selectors?

We are always adding and updating our database of vehicles. If you don’t see your vehicle listed and it’s not earlier than a 1990 year model we recommend that you E-mail us and request a vehicle be added. Please note, some vehicles come in more then one option and listing such vehicles is a challenge but we are working very hard to provide you with the most accurate and up-to-date list of vehicles.

How come your wheel/tire selector does not bring any results for my vehicle?

There are a couple of reasons for this to happen. Some vehicles are very difficult to fit with aftermarket wheels and therefore we classify them into such a category. There may still be products we can offer, but we ask that you E-mail us about it so we can give the vehicle closer attention. Another reason for no results to be displayed is that we have not completed updating our vehicle’s database with new models of the car or that the car is are older then year 1990. In all these instances we encourage you to E-mail us. We will try our best to help you find the right product or direct you to people that can help you.

How do I know that the tires/wheels I choose fit my vehicle?

Every order we receive goes through 13 point check within various departments (some exceptions apply), including a fitment check. If our Tech department flags the order as “Will not fit” you will be notified immediately and offered an alternative product, therefore we are confident that if we ship your order it will fit your vehicle, GUARANTEED! If they don't fit, you can return the order for a full refund including shipping (both ways). If you insist on getting a product we tell you will not fit despite our warning, we will ship it with a disclaimer to that effect and you will not be covered by our fitment guarantee.

What if my order arrives and no one is at home to receive it?

Some neighborhoods are safer then others and UPS may leave your orders by your front door without obtaining a signature (this is called safe dropping). If that is not feasible then UPS will make up to 3 attempts to deliver the order. If they can not reach you, they will take the order to their nearest depot where you can pick it up at your convenience. You can also make a note to us when you placing the order with special delivery instructions. If you do not want the order safe dropped, leave a note on the door for UPS stating this.

What are your business hours?

If you want to talk to us on the phone, we are here from 8:00am until 5:30pm Pacific time Monday to Friday. We are closed on weekends and all Canadian stat holidays.

Why is shipping on tires so expensive?

Tires are shipped by "dimensional weight”. This is weighed according to their size rather than their actual weight. This can cause a tire that weighs 47lbs to be billed as if it were 69lbs.

Where do you ship?

We ship anywhere in Canada and the U.S.A. ( Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico require UPS Expedited shipping. Yukon and Northwest Territories also require special shipping arrangements. E-mail us for details). We do not ship to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses as UPS will not ship there and we are a Canadian company so we do not have access to U.S.P.S.

If you live in the LOWER MAINLAND OF B.C. 1010Tires.com will ship the order to your door. We absolutely do not allow local pick-up or install. If you would like your order to be installed at one of our affiliates, you can contact VOLCO TIRES AND WHEELS. They are a seperate company and will charge you a labour charge to install your products. In this case, the product still must be shipped to your billing address. 1010Tires.com and Volco Tires & Wheels are two seperate entities. Volco Tires & Wheels represent the store level and 1010Tires.com represent the online level. Prices found on 1010Tires.com are exclusive to 1010Tires.com and are not and will not be honoured at Volco Tires & Wheels. Pricing on 1010Tires.com is for shipping purposes only, and reflects the costs of shipping, duties, brokerage, and taxes paid on the items as well as the inherent risk of online ordering. Volco Tires & Wheels pricing reflects the level of customer service in store, the safety and convenience of being able to "touch it and feel it" prior to purchasing, and knowing what you have is correct and sizing is accurate.

We also ship internationally. For details please refer to our International Order Policy .

Can you ship my order somewhere other than my billing address?

For credit card payments, we ship only to the billing address of the credit card. If you need your order shipped to an address other than your billing address, you may choose to pay via Western Union QuickCollect, money order, or SWIFT money transfer.

How is my order packaged for shipping?

When you are buying wheels only, we try to use the original boxes. If the original boxes are too damaged for use, we will use another box of the appropriate size. We then line the box with an extra layer of cardboard or add an additional box to the outside to protect the rim. The rim itself is also wrapped in a plastic bag, has a cloth cover, or a foam sheet over the face to protect it from cardboard chafing. If you are buying wheels and tires, the tires are mounted on to the rims and high speed balanced. There is a sheet of foam placed over the wheel's face, and then two layers of cardboard. A single layer of cardboard is put on the back of the wheel and the entire assembly is held together with polypropylene strapping. Hardware is sealed in its own small box and securely attached inside one of the wheel / tire assemblies. Tires, depending on their physical size, can be shipped as-is or may be in boxes. When shipped as-is, tires may be strapped together in pairs.

Do you carry other wheels or tires not listed on your web site?

The brands listed on the web site are what we mainly deal with. If there is a current model missing in one of these brands, we can usually get it and you are welcome to e-mail us and ask for information about it. As for brands not listed, we prefer not to do special orders. In the odd case that we do a special order, the items are not returnable for any reason. Also, if you place a special order and then cancel it before we ship it to you, there will be a 15% re-stocking fee levied. This is because the products are on the way to us already and we will not be able to return it to the supplier.

Do I get wheel nuts, hub rings, and valve stems when I order wheels?

For Canadian customers, when you buy a tire and wheel package from us, we mount the tires onto the rims, and computer wheel balance them. We will also supply you with an installation kit that includes wheel nuts (or bolts), valve stems (installed with the tires), and hub centering rings (when necessary). We wrap your package in a specially designed packaging to eliminate the risk of damage to your package while delivered. All this, for as little as $49.99; a great savings of up to $150, if you were purchasing tires and wheels separately.

When you receive your tire and wheel package, all you need to do is just bolt them on your vehicle and enjoy the ride.

For U.S. customers, our ability to mount and balance before shipping depends on the products ordered. If this is a concern for you we recommend E-mailing us to verfiy before placing your order.

If you buy wheels only, they are shipped with the center caps only (if applicable). You do have the option however, to purchase the installation kit for an extra cost.

Why has my credit card (cheque card) been charged but I didn't receive a confirmation of the order shipped?

We start order processing with credit card pre-authorization. Your bank sets aside funds for this transaction and some banks show it as the funds advanced. That doesn't mean that we already charged your credit card. If the product is in stock locally, then we will complete this pre-authorization when the order ships out. If the products have to be ordered in from a supplier, we will complete the transaction once the parts are ordered. If you cancel an order for products we have had to order in, you will be charged a re-stocking fee so it's important to be positive you know what you want before placing an order

Do you offer wholesale program for dealers?

At this time we do not offer dealer only pricing, but we are working to create a wholesale module.

Can I buy an odd number of wheels (i.e. one, two or three)?

Some of our wheels can only be sold as a set of four. At times we can make exceptions and sell an odd number, but this will be levied with a service charge of US$25.00/CAD$35.00. If you are concerned, please e-mail us before placing your order and we can tell you if it can be done or not. Some wheels automatically limit the quantity on the shopping cart. These wheels can only be bought as a full set of four wheels. Note, however, that this only applies to wheels. You may order as many tires as you need and there are no additional charges to order an odd number of tires.

How long will it take my order to get to me?

We ship by UPS ground (unless specified UPS expedited service) to all US continuous states, provinces as well as territories in Canada.  We are located in Richmond, B.C., Canada.  All shipments crossing the Canada - US border are consolidated with other shipments and are transported to Seattle, WA, where it is individually shipped to each specified destination.
We do offer expedited shipping (U.S. bound orders, 2-3 business days) or Express Saver (Canadian bound orders, 1-2 business days) for an additional cost on single rims or tires, as well as small accessories. This faster shipping IS NOT available on sets of four.

Do you have everything listed on your web site in stock?

No, but we do carry a large inventory. Also when we don't have stock we can get most products from our affiliate warehouses within a day or two. Sometimes items are totally sold out and we can't get them for some time. This is obviously beyond our control and we will contact you via E-mail to let you know and give you the option of waiting or canceling the order. If you are at all concerned about availability or shipping time, please E-mail us for confirmation before placing your order.

Are your prices for a set of four or for one?

Unless otherwise noted, our prices are "per tire" or "per wheel"

Do you match prices?

We do not match prices with U.S. companies. As we are a Canadian online retailer, we have a different price structure than our US counterparts. Some of the products that we sell may be cheaper than in the US while others may be more expensive. The difference in pricing is beyond our control. If you see a Canadian online company that advertises a cheaper price than us, you are welcome to E-mail us and we will let you know if we can alter our price for you. We will not do this over the phone as we need written records of this process.

I have placed my order. When can I expect my order to be shipped?

Provided that the items you have ordered are in stock we try our best to ship it within 1-3 business days, unless it’s disclosed otherwise. Tire/wheel package takes an extra day to get ready for shipping.

On the day we schedule your order to be shipped you will receive an invoice and tracking numbers by email. During busy season (October 15 to December 31) or special promotions this can be extended so if you are concerned, please E-mail us for delay time before placing your order.

Do you offer sponsorships?

We do not offer any sponsorships.

I am in Canada. Do I have to pay any duties or other charges when I receive my shipment?

Absolutely NOT. We ship all Canadian destined orders from our warehouse in Vancouver, Canada and therefore there will be no duty, brokerage fees or any other charges you normally see on orders you bring from our U.S. based competitors. Your credit card will be charged in Canadian currency and the TOTAL you see on a check out page will be the TOTAL you pay for this purchase. In most cases, there is only one tax to pay - GST, unless you are in B.C. or Maritime provinces.
